Forum Purpose
The purpose of the Prayer Room is to provide an online community in which Essentials members and supporters can interact, post prayer requests, and pray for one another.

Guidelines & Distinctives
We encourage a Christ-centred worldview: to glorify God in all we do, with the Bible as our final authority and guide.

Membership: Because the forum is intended to be a community of prayer and encouragement, and because it is specifically for those involved in Essentials, we ask that if you are not a supporter of Essentials, you do not join.

Age: COPPA has decided that those under 13 are not permitted to be a part of a web board without parental permission. We have chosen, therefore, not to permit those under 13 to join at all, for their own safety.

Usernames: We ask that you use your real first name. However, it is our suggestion that if you want to protect your privacy, you do not include your full last name in your screen name, but rather use your last initial, or only a small part of your last name.

Discussion: You won’t find forums or threads dedicated to games, jokes, spam, relationships, movies, music, television or video games like you do on most online message boards. Those are not the purpose of the site. Instead, you will find that our message board is very dedicated to prayer and the support of Essentials related topics. As you post, please keep Ephesians 4:29 in mind, which says "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." We ask that you do not post anything that would be questionable in its language or manner.

Debate: There should not be anything to debate, as this is a site with a very specific purpose. We ask that you do not come to this site to debate the stand Essentials is taking. If you choose to debate anything in relation to Essentials, your account will be deactivated, and you will be banned.

Writing: Please pursue excellence in your writing. Short forms such as thx or whatever are not acceptable, because not all people understand the “IM slang.”

Questions & Feedback: The procedure for submitting questions, suggestions or concerns is to send them directly to the appropriate administrators or moderators by private message or email. We appreciate your input. We only ask that it be communicated privately, not publicly, and that all final decisions reached by the forum team be accepted without further complaint. We believe this is both wise and biblical. The best people to contact would be your resident administrators, MelissaYvonne, or CathyVA.

Discipline: However, we reserve the right to remove any user upon unanimous agreement by the forum team. Any user who repeatedly (or unapologetically) violates these guidelines or Forum Team instructions is liable to be banned.

The forum team reserves the right to remove all posts that are deemed offensive by tone or content, and remove all members who do not demonstrate their ability to participate within the forum rules. The team also reserves the right to change the rules at any time, as necessary.

We pray that this will be a useful and unifying site, and that it will be glorifying to the Lord Jesus Christ whom we serve!
